Our knowledgeable family physicians and staff are dedicated to providing excellent, comprehensive primary health care for the LOCAL Spirit River community.
NONE of our family physicians are currently ACCEPTING new patients.
When and IF they do, they ONLY accept patients who reside within the clinic's LOCAL CATCHMENT AREA, that is, from the BC border east to Tangent and from the peace river south to Woking. The clinic does NOT take names of people who wish to become patients.
Dr Folake Olaniyan
Family Physician
Dr Olaniyan is NOT ACCEPTING new patients at this time.
Dr Olaniyan is very passionate about providing patient-centered care to meet health goals of different age groups in health prevention and promotion, acute and chronic disease management, women’s health, pediatric and geriatric care.
Dr Deanna Funk
Family Physician
Dr Funk is NOT ACCEPTING new patients at this time.
Dr Funk is especially interested in contraceptive counselling, adolescent health, and minor procedures such as mole removal. She finds it is very important that her patients understand what is happening with their health and likes to focus on treatments that suit each individual person. See article about Dr Funk.
Dr Danae Wolfaardt

Dr Wolfaardt is NOT ACCEPTING new patients.
Originally from South Africa, Dr Wolfaardt has been practicing family medicine in Spirit River since 2019. She holds CanREACH accreditation in pediatric mental health for primary care providers. View video about Dr Wolfaardt.
Dr Eva Kitagawa

Dr Kitagawa is NOT ACCEPTING new patients.
Dr Kitagawa has been a dedicated member of the healthcare team in Spirit River since 2004. She currently holds various leadership positions.
