Uninsured (third-party) Medical Services
The clinic accepts CASH ONLY (sorry no debit or credit cards).
The cost of most healthcare services in Alberta are generally covered. The family physicians at Central Peace Health Centre provide the following uninsured (third-party) medical services, payable to the doctor by the patient (or sometimes insurance).
These fees have been carefully determined based on guidelines recommended by the Alberta Medical Association and the College of Physicians and Surgeons.
If you do NOT HAVE VALID healthcare AND you RESIDE IN ALBERTA, please visit Alberta Health Care Insurance Plan (AHCIP) to apply for coverage. (It's well worth it!)
If your healthcare number is NOT VALID, you will be asked to PAY DIRECTLY AT THE TIME OF YOUR VISIT. A visit to the clinic starts at $45, depending upon what is needed.
If you have recently moved to our area from OUT OF PROVINCE, please provide your provincial healthcare card to staff.
If your out of province healthcare number is VALID, we will bill your province directly (except for Quebec). Unfortunately, patients with Quebec healthcare must pay directly for their healthcare visit as there is no reciprocal billing arrangement with the province of Quebec.
Drivers Medical
Is your birthday is coming up? Please plan well in advance as the clinic is often is booked two months out.
For patients under 75 years of age, the cost of a drivers medical is $120 (regardless of class).
For patients over 75, there is no charge with our regular physicians. (There may be a charge if you are seen by a visiting LOCUM physician.)
Form Completion
Insurance, Disability, Social Services, Placement, Adoption, Competency, or another type of form
The cost to have a form completed by a physician may vary from no charge to $150 or more depending upon the form.
Chart Transfer to another doctor
If you are moving away...
The cost to transfer your medical chart TO another doctor is usually $50 depending on the size of the chart, the time involved to prepare it, and the location it is being sent to.
If you wish to have your chart sent FROM another doctor to our clinic, please CONTACT YOUR OLD CLINIC. Only make this request AFTER being accepted as a patient by one of our doctors.
